I rescued a hen that was abandoned 6 weeks ago. I have read a bunch of articles on here that have really helped me a lot. I have tried a number of different approaches. Finally got the other girls to allow her to sleep in the coop but not on the roost.this morning when I went to let them out, I found her sleeping on the roost with the other girls! Success! ( They still chase and peck at her back periodically. But they have been letting her eat at the feeder at the same time!) So very happy to see this progress, I was very leery introducing one lone hen into my existing flock. But it seems to be working... To anyone else considering this, be patient it can be done.

:celebrate Great job! I'm sure she'll continue to become more comfortable in the flock with time!
thanks, I've only had my flock for about a year. So happy that this transition is looking successful!
