Hi all, we're new here! Our three hens are about 10 months old. We noticed last week that one of our girls suddenly looks very thin. She is eating, drinking, and seems happy. However, the weight loss is obvious. We've been reading about the possibility of worms and may de-worm; before we do, is there anything else that may cause this sudden loss in weight? Thank you!

First of all, :welcome! I'm glad you joined us!

My first thought was worms, so I would just worm them, it's not going to hurt to take the precaution. :D If they are still acting fine/eating/drinking I would just worm them and not worry about it. If they still seem skinny in a couple weeks, we might look into different treatment options. Best of luck! :)

Thank you. I think I'll go ahead and do the wormer today. We have Safeguard paste. Hopefully that's all it is!
