Hey all! Sorry to post for advice without introduction but I'm in a hurry to sex these guys. Our neighbors have deal worked out with us to not report (we are literally a few feet from the boundry that would allow us to have them, so nobody really cares anyway) as long as they receive eggs when they reach that age and we keep no roosters. We have a very relaxed area, but I still want to make sure the roos go as soon as I know- have homes lined up and waiting.

I have 6 sumatra (and 1 phoenix) chicks. The were all born within the first week of august which puts them at about 6 weeks.

Is there anything I should look for? I'm not new to chicken care, per say- but I have only had sex links and guaranteed pullets. So this is out of my league!

I know the comb is generally redder on a roo, but this is not true for all breeds- right?
    What about feathers?

    Thanks a million!
