Summer chicks

Next week I have a batch of 40 Cornish cross birds coming in from Welp Hatchery. I have only ever raised one batch of meat birds before and that was this past winter. Do you folks have any recommendations for raising these birds in the summer? I have fans and plenty feeder and water space.

Shade, shade, shade! They get hot easily. I gave mine cool water too.

We did 47 springtime broilers this year. During their last few days of living it got close to 100 degrees F in their building so we decided to put them in an unused trampoline chicken tractor that was in the shade. The wind kept them a lot cooler than the fans were.
