Hello I have question if anyone has an answer for me. 1 of my white leg horn hens doesn't lay everyday like the other hens. She may go 2-3 days then she'll lay a huge egg. Twice the size of the other eggs.its awesome getting big eggs but I'm not sure why this happens. They all free range all day but always lay in the nesting box's

It could happen, maybe she have a genetic problem, enjoy it as long as you can! I don't think that you can do something to change it.

Thank you for the info. We definitely enjoy the big eggs there always double yolks. Just wondering what may be happening. All the eggs are delicious. .

Is it a young pullet ?

Yes they started laying about 2 months ago now.

Not unusual for new layers to do the double yolk thing for awhile....it will probably stop eventually.
