So all of my chickens are 1-2 years old. They all have been laying normal size eggs and today I literally get one the size of a quarter. It looks like a grouse egg [IMG][IMG][IMG]. Any answers as too why?????[IMG][/IMG]

Happens sometimes, probably a glitch in the system.
Usually nothing to worry about unless it happens consistently.

    What's inside that little egg?
They often have no yolk or a very small one.

Many 'names' for them...fairy eggs, fart eggs, wind eggs, rooster eggs....

I finally cracked it open and there was no yolk. Just a little egg white.

Was there any tiny piece of tissue in there?
That can cause the body to form an egg around it as it moves 'down the pipes'.
Think it's explained in this video.

No it did not look like any tissue. Thanks for the video. I will take a look at it.
