Hey guys... check out this egg. We have one hen that lays a JUMBO egg almost everyday, it barely fits in the egg cartons, but this one egg is amazing. I'm not sure how much it weighs but it is heavy. We hate to crack it open...
I have never seen such an egg. We measured it around the width and it was 7 inches. Measuring the length all the way around it was 8 inches. It is as big as a small pear, except fat all the way around.
We are enjoying our hens and the wonderful eggs they provide.

You might find there is another egg inside a shell inside that. I get them occasionally from the ducks and geese.

I get eggs like that! I have one pullet that seems to think that is the way to go. Last week when I was collecting eggs for hatching I pleaded with her to lay "normal" sized eggs so I could put one of hers in too!
