I bought some superworms (look like mealworms but 4x the size) from local pet store who told me there very popular with chicken owners.. Now im reading stories that there not safe because they bite and can chew through the chickens crop? Is this true?

How do you feed them? Just chuck them out to the chooks?

When consuming live prey items, chickens are very thorough in killing it first. The beetle larvae will also suffocate very rapidly once ingested. In many instances the prey item will be dismembered prior to consumption.
