Still new to chickens...learning a lot as we go....these guys were sold to us as black Australorps. Well shouldn't they be all black them? They were also sold as pullets.

Pics #1 and #2 are the same chicken. When we got them and then today.

The picture seems kind of blurry but it looks more like a barred rock to me but I'm no expert

Those are Barred Rocks. Australorp chicks have a solid black head. They both look like pullets though.

as thinking the same thing but wasn't sure due the one having more lighter of a coloring then the other.

Ugh please don't say male. I'm about to never buy chicks from TSC ever again. Our last batch of "pullets" 5 of the 8 were males. These 2 were out of the pulley bins again.

Sorry, I know what a pain males can be. I got Cornish Cross from Tractor Supply once, my first time. Three cockerels, three pullets. However, my Leghorns from there are all right. Probably a Barred Rock though.
