My Runner, Figgy, was walking very weirdly tonight when I went to put everyone to bed. She was kind of half limping, half hopping. I thought she'd hurt herself chasing the chickens!

I shooed her into the duck house and then PLOP. This appeared:

She's just shy of 5 months old! Seems so young. If I hadn't seen her lay it, I would have thought this was one of the chickens using the duck house just to confuse me. It's super thin shelled (and covered in pine shavings), but it's our FIRST EVER duckie egg!

Aww Yay Figgy! having only had Muscovy before I got my Runners and having my scovy not start laying till 8-9 months old I was pretty surprised when my Runners were mating at 4 months and laying at 4and a half months.
