Hello everyone, we recently had our flock diagnosed with Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILV), Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG) and Mycoplasma Synoviae (MS). We humanly culled all of our birds, cleaned and disinfected everything with bleach. This was a horrible flock devastation for us and it hurt us a lot as our chickens were our pets. My question is, how long do these diseases survive in the soil and coops? Will it take longer to be killed off as winter comes around and temperatures are dropping? Any advice is welcomed.

I'm sorry you're going through this but you did the right thing by culling your flock.

MG and MS are bacteria that lack a cell wall and cannot survive in the environment for no more than 3 days.
ILT is a virus that stays in the environment for a longer period of time. Here's a link for you to read and I recommend using activated Oxine for decontamination as it kills bacteria, virus and fungus. Scroll down to "PREVENTION" and read the last paragraph:

Here's a link where you can buy Oxine:

So will bleach not kill the ILV? I still want to get the oxine and will definitely use it, I’m just want to make sure it’s gone, especially in the soil
