Sussex light gender - 14 weeks (???)

I have the same thing 🤣 but i don't really see any other signs of her being a cockerel. I have two light brahma cockerels of 19 weeks so they look kind of similar with the coloring. The tail feathers look different from a cockerels too, and no pointed saddle feathers
Interesting. Any chance you know their weight?

Well they are getting heavy now, i don't have their exact weight but i'm guessing between 2 - 2.5 kilo, don't know how much that is in ounces šŸ˜…. They are a really big breed though.
That's useful, thanks. Maybe that's why she's 1.7kg and all the others are between 700-900g, despite same age!

Yep - I'm still thinking pullet.
Hackles seem rounded, no sign of any cockerel feathering, and Sussex can lay around 16 weeks anyway.

It did cross my mind her growth could be stunted due to the bullying, but I'm still seeing a pullet, not a cockerel.
So sad that I heard an attempted crow this morning :(

Wow, she is chunky! I’d say pullet as I’d expect a LS cockerel to be far redder and you should start to see male feathering at this age. This amount of redness at 14 weeks on a Sussex seems pretty normal for a pullet.

Sadly I heard an attempt at a crow this morning (and I've just worked out how to multi quote!)

I'm gutted about her!
