This listing is for ONE Swedish Flower Hen hatching egg.

At auctions end you can choose how many eggs you want to purchase at the price of the highest bid.

Price will be the number of eggs you want times the ending bid.

Parent stock is directly from Greenfire Farms.

Shipping can be adjusted according to your location.

Any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks, Jason

I only have one crested pair, and the hen is not laying at this time. I will post pics of the crested pair when she starts to lay. Thanks

Thanks. Do you need 2 "crest genes" to make a crested bird just one, ie is it dominant or recessive?

How do you tell the difference between Swedish Flowers and Speckled Sussex?

Quote:A BYCer just now had some info on the crest thing, and it looks like the crest gene is dominant so just need one parent with the gene to get offspring with crests (presumably 50% of them). Breeding 2 crested birds together produces a 'dangerously large crest' predator-wise if birdsare free ranging. Sounds wild!

Are all Swedish Flower hens in the US from Greenfire stock? Just wondering about the small gene pool. Are there other SFH lines to cross out to to increase genetic diversity?

As far as I know the Greenfire Farms line of Swedish Flower Hens are the only lines in the U.S. at this time
