This little one is 10 1/2 weeks old.
I have a feeling but it will be hard to me if it will be reality. I alredy hatched far, far more males than females.
The other chicks, the males have much more red and comb than this one. I will post pics if you wanted to compare.

He is little sick, so he stayed with me in the house at the moment.

Well at this age it looks like it could be a cock, but I'm not positive. If you want you can try using your pointer finger and putting it in front of its beak and going slowly back and forth. If it's a pullet it will cower, but if it's a cock it stand up to you and try to peck your finger. This makes them think it's another cock trying to challenge them.

Really, i never heard of that but I will try it tomorrow.
It is 10.24 A.M at the moment here in Germany, and the sick chick is sleeping.

The other 4 are cockerels, no doubt. They have much more comb at that age.

Oh if it's sick and if it's a cock it probably will not do it. Poor thing, I'd wait to try that trick until it's completely well. Instead try to note It's actions towards you. If it's a cock it will tilt it's head and look up at you with one eye, that's something roosters do when they are checking you out, pullets don't do that.

    Out to pasture
If it's sick can you take to the vet, or post in detail at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures ," thread. What symptoms is it showing? Does it eat, drink ,poo normally? Interact with your other birds??

I'm not seeing anything screaming cockerel at this age. But, if the bird has been ill, that can delay development.

can we get a profile pic of the bird standing naturally in good light?

Need a much better picture of the bird from the side, in natural lighting. Camera flashes tend to wash out key indicators.

I am using antibiotic with her, because i can hear her breath. Beside of that she gets tee and inhalation. She stayed out a really cold night in my greenhouse. I was back home lately so i let my mother close them in. She did not see that one is missing.
The good thing is her hunger came back...as you can see in the pics.

Could this bird be crested? I am not sure, and i have never had one with a crest. But i can see a curve in the comb here in this pic.

    GREAT!!!!
Oh i am super happy now.
She is much better today. But we had some tough time. She did not drink or eat on her own, so i motivated her every hour.
