Sweet PDZ Disposal

How do you dispose of your Sweet PDZ? Will it eventually dissolve in composting or in the rain?

It will not 'dissolve', it is a mineral.

Where and how are you using it that you'd need to dispose of it?

You can put it in the compost pile as long as it's not massive amounts, like any other composting ingredient.
It will eventually release the ammonia/nitrogen it absorbs.

We completely changed-out the PDZ on our poopboard last spring. It just got mixed in with all the shavings we changed-out and dumped on the compost pile. The compost eventually gets tilled into the garden.

Me too, but only use about a half inch deep and mixed with sand....
.....I have to regularly add some to replace what gets stuck to the removed poops.

In 3 years, I have never totally changed it out...never saw the need.
