I was on one of the chicken hatchery web sites and they have Sweet PDZ for sale as odor control use.

Has anyone used it for their coops, runs, chicken houses?

It says it is safe. No need for face mask, no need for gloves, safe to humans and animals.

i'm useing it inside my 4x4 small coop exclusively, just started two weeks ago, but so far works like a charm, i just scoop it like cat litter.....chickens scratch in it a bit, don't eat it, its a bit dusty but no worse than pine shavings....read alot on other posts thought id give it a try. PDZ is expensive I found a substitute same stuff called zeolite 8.95 40# bag got a few ripped bags at 1/2 price too.... check out "poop board convert" forum and there is one guy like me i found uses it exclusively in his small inside coop too, he's been at it longer may have more info for ya

lots of discussion about PDZ on this site. I use it. works nicely with the deep litter method.
