yesterday a bcm maran chick hatched in our incubator. unlike his/her siblings this one had one foot that was glossy and larger than the other. At first I just watched and he rested up. He's not as keen on walking or running as the other chicks so I've left him in the 'bator for now. I felt the foot and it feels normal. not extra hot or inflexible or too flexible.
for other pets I'd call a vet but I don't have a chicken vet. can't ice it like i would for me or my horse. suggestions?
