Swollen foot

    One of my girls has a foot she is'nt putting any weight on and the bottom of the foot is swollen. What is there I can do for her?

    Is there a scab on it..like bumble foot?

    Hmm..weird..
    what about in between the toes and stuff? see anything?
    maybe soak the foot in warm water?.. [​IMG]

    i'd try soaking the foot in warm water and epsom salts and see if that helps her any..

    If its cold outside, i would bring her in.
    It will tell you on the bag how much salt to add..but generally not much..maybe few tablespoons in a bowl of water... soak it for about 15 minutes or 1/2 hour or something...
    I dont really even know if that will help though...but it cant hurt to try. i'd do it like 2x a day for a week..or something..
    maybe add some betadine in the water also..incase she has an infection in the foot...

    Can you get a picture of her leg and foot? that might help us see what you are looking at.

    About 15 minute soak a couple times a day as Red said would be great.

    No other signs of trauma or injury to the leg or foot?
