swollen shanks and feet...

    My 2 blue lace red hens have got swollen feet and shanks. It's not bumble foot. The hens are older, I think 6 in our years. The feet and shanks are hot to the touch. They won't come out of the coop. Anyone know what this could possibly be? Thanks

    Hi! [​IMG] Hope an expert replies. Sorry you are having trouble. I don't know exactly. Heat and swelling most always = infection, so do you have any antibiotics you could get on board? I would think soaking their feet in warm epsom salt water would be very helpful as well... I don't know what else to suggest . I wish I could be more helpful.
