  1. My Buff Orp roo has a swollen looking middle toe on his left foot. It looks to be about twice as big around as his others. He is getting around fine, walking without limping or anything. "Servicing" his girls as normal... Is this something to be concerned about? I looked at the bottom of his foot and could not find anything stuck into him. Any ideas? Do chickens get arthritis? He has gotten pretty "aggressive" lately which is not normal for him....but other than that, he seems very normal. Thanks in advance for any help.[IMG]

I really don't know. Guess I'd keep an eye out for infection, like warmth or redness. Maybe there was a small injury that you can't see, but it started an infection (bumblefoot.)
