If a tailed Araucana and a rumpless Araucana have chicks, what percentage will be rumpless? I have 2 Araucana mix chicks that are about 4 months old. I know the hen was my tailed Araucana Peanut. But there were several different breeds in with her and I'm trying to find out who the daddy was. The chicks, a pair, are solid black, cockeral has some mahogany saddle and hackles coming in. Both have pea combs. Both have very dark, almost black skin on their faces. Legs are black. The roosters in with her at the time were my rumpless Araucana Franklin, black with gold leakage, a frizzle black naked neck silkie cross, a mahogany naked neck, a silver silkie serama, and a multi colored little game rooster. I never saw the naked neck try, or the serama. The frizzled tried but didnt seem to get anywhere. But the game roo and Franklin always were. But color wise, they look nothing like the game. They have fully feathered necks also. Could the rumpless Araucana not produced any rumpless chicks? Can anyone take a stab at which roo this was?

4 toes, black legs and mostly black faces. But my frizzle silkie mix has 5 toes but red skin. And his comb looks like a silkies. Its a real mystery. I may have to go take pictures of everyone later. I just dont have any of the mahogany NN.

Ok, I will go check. And while Im at it, will take pictures of everyone and try to post them. I would really like to know. Right now, they kinda look like tiny sumatras.

silkie serama rumpless rooster The only possible rooster was a mahogany NN. Im really thinking the father is the little game. His dad has plenty of red and thats probably where the red in the cockerals hackles are coming from. And their skin is not black under the wings, just on their faces and not as much as I had thought. Its just that their combs are so small and pea shaped that I didnt think the little game could be. And dangit, I didnt post one of the cockeral, just the little pullet. He looks just like her but with red hackles and a longer tail. And I'm wrong, the red rooster is NOT the little guys father. IDK what I was thinking. So disregard the comment and picture of the big game roo, he has nothing to do with anything!
