My daughter's school raised 6 ducks they got as hatchlings from the feed store two years ago. They were _supposed_ to all be female, but one turned out to be a male.
They have all been living in a pond on the school property right next to the playground.
Problem is, the male is sensing spring and being "aggressive" with the females. Giving them a little bloody spot on their heads, dunking them under the water, and generally doing what male ducks do.
Well, the teachers are thinking that it is not the best idea to have the kids exposed to this day after day (the kids line up at the fence to watch). The kids range from preschool through elementary.
Anyway, they asked me to see if I could find someone to take the male duck.
Any takers?
