I travel up 81 from Lynchburg VA to Allentown, PA
fairly often, so I could meet someone who's interested on the way.....

    Did I mention Free?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can find them good homes? I don't want to euthanize them, nor do I wan't anyone to use them for 'nefarious' purposes (So that means Craigslist is out)
    Thanks!

My mom says depends on how much shipping costs. She would rather have a phone number though. [She doesn't trust the computer.] So can I can have my mom speak w/ you on the phone, she's not into all the chicken stuff.

I've never shipped chickens before. I don't know how much it would cost. I don't even know how long it would take them to get from VA to Kansas,
I don't know if they would survive the trip.
(Lots of help I am, right?)

Let me do some research on it, but truthfully, I'm not sure I want to risk it. I would feel just awful if you got a box of dead chickens......

There's a slim chance that the smallest black one I have might be a hen. Basically, I'm just guessing based on who is 'fighting' and who isn't. The three pictured are doing that 'stare each other down, sumo-chest bumping' thing. The small one does it occasionally. One the other hand, my sweet little year old timid hen (Hyacinth) was scrapping with the bigger black one (pictured above) and I'd have to call it a draw.........

Silkieluver, what do you think? All roos?

I think it would be too much to ship them, and yea i would feel bad if they ended up dying on the trip. Ill have to find someone in Kansas who has some.
