We have our brooder box ready and it's passed a trial run. The coop is almost finished and already we have plans and materials for a second coop. Yes, it's safe to say the chicken bug has bitten here in League City, Texas! Wish us luck!

How nice that the grandkids get to come along! Will they assist with naming the fluff balls? What kind(s) are you getting?

Ah yes, the boys live with us so they've been my partners in crime through the whole thing. We're doing this as a family project so they'll be naming the little fluff balls for sure. Last I heard "Karl Jr" was one of the names. I said "that's ok with me, but they're all girls" ha ha We only have room for 3 for now so it's 3 Americaunas for sure. Next project is hay bale gardening.. I love spring!
