Tank Snails!!!! Arggg!

How do you get rid of these little pesky creatures? They are ALL over my fish tank which is a 10 gallon. I mean their everywhere!

Harvest them and dump them in the garbage. Do not flush them in the toliet.

I got plenty of those too, it is the plants they came out of.

Why not flush? do they start migrating out? That is a creepy thought.

Are they the stupid mystery snails or some other kind?

You may be able to sell them if they are mystery snails.

It is important to rinse your new plants when you get them.

From what I heard, you can stop up your toliet or sewer lines.....with the bleach and chemicals, I just dont see that happening LOL! So I play it safe.

I got all kinds of those little bitty snails, they are a pest but I gather as many as I can, leaving a pair or trio in a 55 gal tank. Takes a good four months for them to multiply but they do like to eat the algae off the walls.

We did rinse them well, still have them.

I'm going to clean the tank today. Should i leave the rocks in hotwater to kill them? There the little bitty snails not the mysterys I love those kind. These little buggers have eaten all but 1 type of plant in there I think it's a type or sword plant.

I remember one of the pet store employees said there is a fish you can buy that would EAT those snails. I forgot what they were.
