    Hello All,

I am hoping to continue my education of the practice of taxidermy and was looking to mount an ornamental chicken. Does anyone have a naturally deceased bird that they would be willing to sell/trade?

    Thanks!

You may be able to set up a business of just preserving people's pet chickens - (some day)

The chickens in the first article are really works of art IMO.

There are some of my males that I would love to have taxidermy done on (once they were dead of course--- now they are at work during the breeding season.

I have to add that roosters are beautiful and plentiful and you should probably have no trouble getting hold of one or some -- and you could probably grow them out and do your own kill. People always have too many males.

Thanks so much for the advice! I actually was one of the 5 students who participated in the class at the Morbid Anatomy Museum. I'm excited to keep learning about taxidermy with practice.

That is so cool.... the same class in the magazine article or do they have a number of classes? What did you think of the Belgian artist's chicken art? I love the huge photos and also the row of chickens in the window sill. The coat ....maybe a bit much. Liked the museum exhibit of live chickens too.
