:rolleyes:What causes chicken poop to turn teal green? One hen had it for two days and then it changed to bloody diarhea. Now the others are getting it. I have them on tetracycline hydrochloride. I think it is helping, but I am not sure what caused it and how to prevent it from occuring again.
Believe me there is nothing scarier than seeing your hens bleeding from the hiney!
In retrospect, I also noticed that the shells were getting lighter in color and now they are not laying at all.
ANY hints and advice are greatly appreciated! Thank you [IMG] even!

Teal green poop would usually indicate bile; for some reason their liver is not working properly. I think a vet visit is needed.

Would it happen to all of them in the same week?

if it is a liver problem and all of them got it at once, then I would look for poison possibilities.

Yes, I would say either a toxin, or some contagious illness that is affecting the liver.
