I have 6 pullets and a cockrel
F Wyandotte cross
F 2 polish
F 3 easter egger
M wyandotte cross

I also have 9 other hens I have joined them with the olden hens go in the cool at night.

Eventually I know they will go in the coop at night like normal but that takes a long time does anyone have any ideas or ways that work quick for you?

I currently put then manully in the coop and then manully on the roosts.

How did you integrate the new birds?
How old are the new birds?
How big, in feet by feet, is your coop?
Is there a separate roost for the newbies?
Pics of coop would help too.

The coop when we bought it off of cragslist said for 20 chickens and the guy knew what he was doing.

there is plenty of roosting places.
everybody has a certain spot were they go and they all Go to it no one bothers the teens.

I used the see but don't touch method for over 3 months i was on vacation for most of it.

There was a tarp separating the coop when I was not home so the birds could be put in seperatly.
When i got back home I folded it over.

The run is two 10x10 dog kennels together put now the inside door is open and the chicken and teens have both runs
There is plenty of hiding spots and multiple waterers and feeders.

I couldn't lock them in the coop because I had no where for the older birds too lay eggs.

The teens don't care for treats at night.

2 teens (cockrel and pullet wyandotte crosses) are 6 months and 1 week

The other easter eggers and polish are about 4 months
