Look at this egg i got from my girls!!!
THIS IS IT NEXT TO A NORMAL EGG.
THIS IS IT NEXT TO A DIME.
OMG! That is very tiny!! Did you or are you going to eat it? Just wondering what the inside looks like?
I got one of those yesterday! Do you know which of your birds laid it?
Awww, so cute!
Cool - looks like a "wind egg"
When a coupld of my girls first started laying we got some of those teeny eggs, too. I think the smallest came from a partridge rock.
there called polk eggs. a pullets first egg. if you crack it open there probably wont be any yolk in it.
Mine did have a full yolk. It was just a tiny egg - like a little birds egg. We ate it fried.
We don't have any new pullets in the group. Everyone had already been layong and everythings back to normal. not a nother small egg since. We didn't eat it but I dod crack it open and got just an egg white and membrane in it. I don't know which chicken laid it...by the coloring I would say one of my leghorns or an americaunas? we don't have any bantams as well.
