Tell me they're callouses and not Bumblefoot (PICS)

    Hon, at some point you're going to have to accept that this is bumblefoot.

    Can someone explain how bumblefoot is caused/direct me to a link that does???

    ducks often get little scuffs or scratched on their feet, but if they walk on their own poop or rotting vegetation, they can get bacteria in the wounds before they close up, thus causing an infection. Usually bumblefoot is caused by staph, but other bacteria can cause problems too. my duck got it the first time when my roommate didn't clean her pen properly for me while i was recovering from surgery and it got too poopy. i used shavings back then and she must have cut her foot on some.
