its the chicks creating their own heat. the bator pours out a specific amount of heat then when the eggs/chicks start to create their own heat it will raise the temp

Yeah, I had some very experienced hatchers warn me to look for a jump in temp that happens when the chicks start to put out their own body heat... My jump happened around day 15, though, and I had to turn 'bator down a bit to accomodate...

just turn down the temp slightly and check it every couple of hours to make sure it evens out again. my temp spiked to 105 and my chicks were fine as long as it doesnt last an overly large amount of time they should be ok

Hey I have a question too. The temp on my bator is usually at 102.4 - 102.7 it has never gone up to more than that well it has to 103.6 (thats the highest it has gone so far) but when i candled them they were still moving so thats not the question the question is... Is the temperature (102.4 - 102.7) would kill them?????? Do I Have to lower it down? PLEASE REPLY! this is my first hatch and I want at least 1 hatches so PLEASE REPLY!
