Nope! It is preferred to be around 70, but I ran mine in my 60 degree basement most of the year and it was perfect.
Run it in the room for a little while and see if it holds the right temp. Do you have a separate calibrated thermometer to check the incubator's internal temp with?

Well, my little accurite ones from Wal-Mart are good now that I calibrated them, and I have a little thermometer/hydrometer from AvianWeb that worked great until it was dropped off a counter, lol.
