temperature and humidity questions

I am hatching eggs now and the book said to put the temperature at 99.5 to 100
and the humidity at 55 to 60%
that is until day 18
I have a forced air incubator and I have my temperature at 99.5 and my humidity is between 50% and 55% Is that o.k.?

I believe forced air should be set at 100 degrees, that is what mine is set at. I also recommend using a digital thermometer as they are more accurate.

I usually leave my humidity at 45 - 50 % until day 18.

Is 55% to high? I am on day 4
almost 5.

I just caught mine at 54% on day 7 so I dropped it back to 40%.

I think it might depend on what kind of incubator you have. Hopefully someone else will chime in. I have a gqf cabinet style and some it depends on what your climate is like. I don't feel comfortable telling you yes or no on the humidity.

If you have a styrofoam incubator You should take a look at this:
