Tetracycline hydrochloride powder

Yes, the fellow that sold me the biddies told me to use it, just in case. They were shipped birds. Since they are cornish rocks, they grow fast and will only be on it for 14 days. Then about 10 weeks, they will be in the freezer.

I am only asking.. What about the eggs.. I am guessing you can use in laying hens? If so discard the eggs for how long?

It's not approved for laying hens, so the eggs are only to be used for hatching. It's now prohibited for use in poultry feed in California, and there's no good reason to treat healthy animals with antibiotics anyway. Mary
