    ) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
    I had my first banty cochins in 1985. Let them scratch in my garden- very happy til predators got into coop after about 5 yrs.
    So- finally getting around to remodeling the coop!

    (2) How many chickens do you have right now?
    Getting ready to order about 10 chickens...
    anyone want to split an order near me?


    Ideally would like 6 Buff Orps and a few banty cochins.

    Nice to have another Texan on board. I used to raise chickens in S. Austin. Now I raise them here in South Carolina!

    Martha, what kind of chickens are you going to order?
    I just picked up a dozen Black Australorp babies. We are building a larger chicken house, and turning the one we have now into a brooding house.
