ive recently been swept away with my new decision to have chickens. I live in the city/burbs and never thought that keeping hens would be an option for me especially being that I don't have a big backyard. I have a few quail and ordered some serama eggs to hatch. I maybe getting a little ahead of my self but im just using this information as a guide and not necessarily a im going to do it thing. Id like another small breed chicken that is easily suited for apartment life. a friend told me other than seramas, either olandsky dwarf or pyncheon. does anyone know of other very small chicken breeds I can research 1.5 lbs and under thanks
Hi and welcome to BYC. I'm no breed expert, but there are a number of breeds available in bantam size. I wish you the best of luck with your search. This link may be helpful - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/category/chicken-breeds.16/ Best wishes Pork Pie
Bonjour and welcome from France! Silkies are a good option. I wouldn't have chickens inside an apartment though - thye make lots of mess!
