I thought that I heard one of the big weaving needles drop, so I looked around the rug and my chair to see if I dropped it.
Found a little sewing needle nestled point-down in between two folds of the pads. I'm only slightly paranoid now.

I hope you got all the needles. Sometimes when a person sits on a needle, it works it’s way into your blood vein and travels throughout the body raising havoc.

Don't worry, it was just the one needle. Sewing needle, about 1.5 inches long -- I don't think that it could get very far in my veins or arteries before I noticed anything, if it could even get that far.
