he gave me another pair of african harlequins hes a great guy.
Aw shucks, now you made me blush.Hey Jays fine, did you see the smokey bobwhites that Bob Lambert has?
no i didnt see them how much money are they.
Too much for my blood. He wants 50.00 a pair. There still a bobwhite, just a mix breed, but then again just like any other mixed breed, they get too much money for them and will not pay half the amount they get for mix breeds to get pure birds.
thats to much by the way do you want any african harlequins if i hatch any.
Will see if I start to miss having them around.Hatch as many as you can and see if someone will trade you so you can get unrelated birds for breeding later on.Band the ones you have so you know which birds are which if you decide to get more. They came from Scott O'Brien in Maine,so you will need to find someone that got theirs from someone other then he.I believe Garry Landrie also breeds them. You can help keep them off from the endangered species forever.
allright if you want any just give me a call so i got to go to bed and read have a good night.
I just learned of these recently, and just love them! I hope to be able to order some soon.
Are they really on an endangered list or headed for one?
I believe Quailladyoffortmeyers said she would be getting pairs ready and may have eggs soon.
indeed tony is a great guy. just shipped me 19 harlequin eggs for no charge . a very good guy ..i hope to hatch a decent little group of these little guys. thanks again to tony! ill let ya know how they did with their journey down here.
What is the appeal with AH quail? I understand they are button-sized with coturnix personalities, so I assume they are just pets?
