Sooo...I've got the flu and I've been home from work all week, and subsequently have been banned from all my family's thanksgiving festivities! Husband went without me, so it's just me and my animals today...I had one last watermelon from the garden this year, so I gave my chickens a Thanksgiving feast! Thought I'd share pics with my BYC family!

A few of them are molting, so excuse the rough looking birds!!

What the heck is that? Scratch, the RIR, is the only one brave enough to try...

My giant cochins and Buffy prepare to dig in...

Goldie, my EE/Wyandotte cross, eating away!

Now there's nothing left but a paper thin rind! I'd say they liked it!

They're so cute! I gave mine the turkey carcass, the turkeys got the ham.

Whew! I'm glad it wasn't the other way around! Like the time hubby almost fed the chooks leftover chicken pot pie...that's just wrong!

I collected turkey bones and scraps from 2 mothers today: some for the dog, some for the cats, some bones for stock, and the rest for the flock!
