that broody hen

From about 3 days i had a 8 month old hen that was broody she didnt come out of nesting box but it didnt stop laying eggs so i moved her to a box to be alone and when i brought the eggs to put them under her she suddenly came out of the box and wouldnt sit on them wat is wrong with her she newly started laying eggs

Broody hens are unpredictable, moving them can break them of broodiness pretty quick, others don't mind being moved... If she was still laying there is a chance she wasn't broody but just trying to build up a clutch of eggs... She could've been staying in the box just because she was cold (sorry I don't know where you live). She could also be low in the pecking order so staying there was a way to stay safe.

I think she decided not to sit, it happens sometimes, could be weather..especially if this is or was her first hatch, I got a incubator just because of this reason or just wait till she feels like sitting..good luck and no worries
