My son asked how much a dressed duck sells for. They don't have them in my local markets so I went on-line to see what it would cost to order one..

    Holy Cow!!!!!!!

$74.99 plus $11 shipping for a two pack total weight 5 pounds (a 2 1/2 pound duck? Those are tiny)

$29.95 for a whole smoked duck. Didn't write down the shipping, but I will be building a smoker.

$13.99 plus $20 shipping for one (half) smoked duck breast.

$18.18 for 12 oz of duck fat (???)

And hold on to your hat....... (drum roll) ..... $175 plus $$11.99 shipping for a dressed goose. Golden Goose, anyone?

I've heard $45 for a dressed Moscovy, but haven't seen it with my own eyes.

Yikes! Duck is much cheaper where I live, but mostly available during certain times of the year and only pekins.
