    These California Whites are 4 weeks old tomorrow. We got them from TSC and they were supposed to be pullets, according to the guy working that day. I'm guessing the little one all the way to the left is a roo. The comb is considerably larger than the others and already getting red. You can see the difference in the other birds standing with him.

    Yep, he's a man-baby. [​IMG] That big, pink comb and those thick manly legs are shouting COCKEREL!

    Yup, that's definately a ROO. [​IMG] His waddles will start to grow in next. The girls won't grow theirs or turn red until they are ready to start laying eggs.

    One of my white leghorns has some black spots on her too. I named her "Dotty".

    The wattles are there, just small, but you can see them starting. He's got a bit of 'tude too. lol

    Remember that hatcheries doesn't guarantee 100% accuracy in sex venting. There always a possibility to get a roo on a batch of pullets. [​IMG]
