Well Finally got some pictures of my Aviary. This is just my old chicken pen that with a little flight netting and some plants I converted into a pen for my Exotic Waterfowl and Pheasant. I hope you all enjoy the pics...I might be swapping the pheasant rooster pictured for a Buff rooster but I want to see how much more coloration he takes on.

Heres a good one that semi shows a reg male mandarins crest...it is usually displayed like this when they do their deep mating call/whistle.

Wow, i love all the plants there! Looks quite natural for them.

What are those tall green plants in the middle? Looks kinda like cornstalks.

Thanks the birds love it as well. I'm hoping by creating a natural setting to have pheasant hens sit on nests in the spring. But I have the bators as back up incase they don;t

And I did have bobwhite in the aviary as well...but they all went right up and out of the 2 inch flight netting. Owell....

The plants are mostly oats.

HT, those would work fine...I just get mine off farms...simple and easy to do. Just wrake the ground up...spread seed...tamp down...water!
