"Yes... you can really be an ungrateful pain in the neck... you've got me flustered for your not showing up, and you make me forget everything... and you don't even like me, just shoot me in the head and put me out of my misery."  Illy pulled his shirt down the rest of the way.

Callabine yawned. "Not true, I couldn't help not showing up, not true again, and would you rather I let Druin shoot you?"

"Not true?  Didn't I just forget my clothes... that's because of you...  And Druin was about to die, but I thank you for not... you just, just, drive me crazy.  I am leaving as soon as I can,  I will pull every string I have to, and I have a lot.  I have a grandbaby coming any moment now and I promised to be there.  So good ridden."  He opened the door and it was obvious they heard him, they were all cracking up, even Ykrus.  But Ykrus shut it when he saw the look on his dads face.  He had to get a glimpse of the female that had him so twisted in knots.

Callabine stared at him. "You know, if you had mentioned that sooner you would probably have been allowed to leave."

"I needed a ship, and I was busy with busted ribs before, and making sure that you were fine!"  He stormed out.

Ykrus moved into sight of Callabine.  He took a second dumbfounded look.  Then he rubbed his eyes.
"Imbecile," Callabine growled, slamming the door shut. She almost fell into her bed and pulled the covers over her head, falling asleep in moments as she stopped fighting the affects of the sleeping pills.

Kisu waved her hand in Collia's direction, stopping her Corbian Ability. Her eyes glowed again and she started draining Collia's energy. "Sandie!" she shouted.

Ginger took a hold of the ship and took off at near light speed, giving no time for Kisu to react. Sandie's wing flaps could be heard coming down the hallway.
"Too late," Kisu said, sinking to the ground. "Sandie, why didn't you tell me that Collia's Corbian Ability lets her drain people's energy? She could have killed me."

Sandie's heart sank as she saw the pod fly away. "Sprink... sprink sprink sprink sprink sprink sprink sprink...." She paced around, a terrible wave of grief coming over her. She had to sit down, as she became lightheaded and felt like she would pass out.

"You ok?" Kisu asked.

"No, I'm not!" Sandie yelled. "My own sister has just been kidnapped by Ginger, who is in turn working for a rogue organization trying to brainwash Collia, and you ask me if I'm okay? What are you, stark raving yoicks?"

Luna came in, hearing the noise but not arriving in time. "What the hell is going on?" She demanded.

Ykrus ran after Illykran. The other guys weren't sure what to think. "You guys go wherever and keep it shut.... it's uh classified."

"Yeah right." Beoron (crud I forgot his name already) nickered.

"Dad what the heck did I just witness back there?" Ykrus asked.

"Its not her, she'd be older than that anyhow." He was angry with himself.

"Well you were right, she doesn't reciprocate... but you were an idiot in there."

"She's..."

"Got you twisted, yeah I can tell. I think you need to avoid her. She's not the nicest by what little I've witnessed and she got you out of focus."

"I was trying to help her."

"Well if it did any good it will show later... hey will you stop!" Ykrus was tired up picking up the pace.

"What?"

"Hey you're about to go to war.... I don't want t loose you because some silly females got you screw loose and doesn't seem to give a bleep about you. Though I will give her some credit for holding her composure while you were acting like a dork." Ykrus sighed.

(I'm assuming that the med ship's in that tiny triangle of neutral space where the Drex, Battian and Rivven empires meet.)

Ginger was taking the shortest route to Tyto, instead of going around Battian territories she went straight through. Collia reclined the co-pilot's seat so that it was like a bed and rested. While she was tired from Kisu draining her energy, her mind was alive with thoughts. I... don't believe this. After all these years, I get to see Saroya again. Wow... is this a dream? No, its not. Definitely not.

Then Collia's mind began to wonder away from Saroya. Hmm, the radar says that there is a patrol of Drex ships nearby. Oh well. Her ears then flicked around. Wait, why am I thinking "oh well"? Being alone and having a patrol of Drex ships nearby can mean life or death. Even though they are weakened... But Collia's thoughts always came back to a single thought. Nothing mattered. Why... why am I feeling this way? Her gut seemed to give a warning quiver. What's that all about? But it hardly ever even moved anymore. She just brushed it off with the same thought that she had ended every other one with, oh well. It was just too much energy, too much effort to feel anything.

"So you're telling me that you want to relinquish your position to Ykrus and take his place on Kabile?"

"Yes."

Fejorn took a big sigh. "Illykran you served both my grandfather and my father before me. You saved many already."

"It's my decision my King I am needed down there, and I can fight better than most."

"True, and I suppose that if I send your son to war anyhow.... that I would possibly still loose you if he does die." Fejorn grumbled. "No."

"My King?" Illykran did not want Ykrus to go.

"He can have your position, but I need you somewhere else. You've been needed back home anyhow. You were supposed to only be gone two weeks. Its been far more."

"Wait are you saying that neither if us are going to battle?"

"That's exactly what I am saying. The house of Larkspur has paid enough blood... and I will also talk to the council about getting you home in time. That pilot you came with is capable of outrunning Drex."

"Well so am I."

"But she has a ship, and you don't. I will ask her myself."

"My King...."

"Do not interrupt."

"Yes." He bowed
