"Shattered. It's a shadow disorder caused by being into close contact with objects called flecks while sleeping. The mind turns like a stone, and it becomes impossible to sort out emotions. That's why she was acting so strange. Luna just went into her quarters with my dowsing rod- Tosk, it went crazy when she went by her bed. Her mattress and pillows are loaded with flecks."

Meanwhile...

The next morning on Tyto, Collia was awoken by a beam of light falling gently into the hollow. Her eyes fluttered open and she used a paw to shield her eyes from the bright light, "Saroya?" Her intelligent calculating eyes scanned the hollow. "Saroya?" She hopped out of her bed and milled around, looking for her sister.

"Out here!" Saroya's familiar voice called outside the skyport. Collia grinned and went out, but was suddenly whacked in the head with a hard object, and was knocked out. She was stuffed into a sack and carried far, far away.

"I don't remember the exact words, but he wishes that he had died in a fight or something." Callabine remembered perfectly well what Illykran had said, but she didn't want her relationship with Druin to become common knowledge.
