the beck

    been raising chickens for 14 years never saw this banty hen nostrial pluged up face around beck turning white looks like the beck will hull. Anybody ever seen this.

    Could you post a picture of her beak? Could their be small particles of feed blocking the nostril? That can be a common problem. Some diseases such as fowl pox and canker can also cause this. You might try softening the nostril with water, and using a toothpick to clean it out.     It Is canker after seeing posted pictures took closer look and it is . Now need to find canker pills anybody no where I can get some

    Fish Zole, Flagyl, metronidazole are the same drug which is treatment for canker. I have never treated this, but the recommended dosage is 250 mg given orally daily for 5 days. I would still keep in mind that nostrils blocked with feed can still look like this. Here are some links with places to buy fish zole and others about the disease:
