Well, I became very interested in Depression glass, and after many trips to multiple antique shops, I just couldn't find what I was looking for. I found another local antique shop that I hadn't been to before, and I saw some really nice antique pieces. The dealer had told me that it was vaseline glass, or Uranium Glass, and that when under a UV light, it would glow. Well he sure was right, these pieces really glow!

Here they are without the black light on, and some with the black light on.

I also have two Fenton Milk glass Hobnail salt and pepper shakers.

I figured the new pictures I had taken should be added to the first post, so newcomers don't have to look all over this thread to find all of the pictures.

I went to the antique shop yesterday, and brought my black light with me, as to make sure of what I was buying. I got a vaseline glass creamer, sugar cup, and a small saucer.

There's uranium in the glass. It makes the glass glow in a particularly eye catching color.

    Thanks I do too!

Oh, that's beautiful glassware. Very cool that it glows.

I have a collection of milkglass as well, mostly the hobnail pattern.

Thanks! I really like the milk glass/vaseline glass mixes. They create some really nice pieces. I have only seen one like that in person, and it was a butter dish, it was hobnail too, and the bump part of the glass was milk glass and the rest of the glass was Vaseline glass, and I have also seen some milk glass/vaseline glass candy dishes, one in particular is a "Hen on a nest" candy dish that I am wanting.

Thanks! I love my Vaseline Glass. Now that I know what I want, I will hit all of the antique shops, and bring my black light with me. That green, and yellow color just catches the eye so well.

Thank You! Good luck with your collection, I visit the antique shop probably about every 2-3 weeks to get 1-2 pieces of glass. I really enjoy collecting this stuff. It is so unique, and fascinating.
