When we first put our chickens out in the coop, my 2 dogs were going crazy!

I think they scared the heck outta the poor chicks!

First thing is to insure you have a good skirt around the run, dogs dig!

Tie the dogs away from the birds where they can see them but not close enough to disturb the birds and as they settle down move them closer till they realize they are not chew toys or threats?

We do, there is chicken fence under and around the whole thing. Two of my dogs are fine with little animals, but they just like to act motherly around them, and the other dog must have used to hunt before we got her because she goes crazy after squirrels and birds and any other little animal.
