I went out to collect eggs a little bit ago and found the BIGGEST egg I have ever seen before in my nestbox. It was laid by one of my Golden Comet Sex-links. I couldn't believe how big it was, and it was heavy!!!

Here are a few pic's of it.....

It is so Large that it won't even fit in an egg carton... It is next to a Ameraucana egg and a Buff Orp or Barred Rock egg

It practically fills the entire palm of my hand

    It weighed 3.5 ounces

I thought for sure it was a double yolker, but, nope just one Giant yolk. Here it is next to the yolk of the Ameraucana egg.

I can't believe the poor girl that laid this is still walking around. [IMG]

That's impressive! I'm surprised she didn't birth her ovary and kidneys with that! I once got a soft-shelled egg that was larger than my hand. The poor girl ended up prolapsing practically everything.

Did the sex links just start laying? I had one about that size yesterday from one of my BA's.

I can honestly say that I had about a half a dozen last fall that were over 4 oz. from my rsl's.

As big as that is I bet you'll see even bigger ones yet........congrats!!!
