I am surprised as to the speed the chicks are growing! We weighed on Sunday and they were running anywhere from .8 of an ounce to 1.8 ounces. They are now running 1.4 to 2.5 ounces! Can they get too big too fast?

They are also getting noisier and a lot more active! We had one escape this morning and fortunately, the dogs didn't get it. The kids realized it was out because Kippy was staring it down. My boston has herding dog instincts!

We have "Live Chicks" back online, so if anyone wants to see what the chicks do during the day come check it out!

They do grow very fast. I thinks its just in their make up.

How do you weigh chicks? I have some 3 week old barred rock roos that I would be very interested in knowing how much they weigh, they are huge! Thanks

Quote:We bought a digital kitchen scale. It goes up to 8 pounds. At first, we put a few of the chicks in a cup (weighed the cup empty first), but then we tried to see if they will stand/sit on it and they do. It is real simple:).

They are just adorable...I watched your webcam thing yesterday.

I am amazed every day at how much mine have grown...I swear you can probably just watch them get bigger in front of your eyes.
